The Feb 14 post

The normally pessimistic me has decided against bitter and angry songs, and instead present this chirpy and feel-good love song for all. Enjoy.

Countdown To Grammies 2008

The 50th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Feb 11 in LA, and since some people have asked for music recommendations, why not put 2 and 2 together and go through the nomination list.

Best Music Video Nominations (in order of preference)

1. 1234 - Feist
Her most successful single to date. Song's great, though the MV can't compare. Still, it stands the highest chance of winning.

2. Typical - Mute Math
Cool rock song, not bad a concept, but because of its obscurity, it probably won't win.

3. Gone Daddy Gone - Gnarls Barkley
The guys who brought you the smash hit "Crazy". Catchy and hilarious, but will suffer the same fate as Typical, I think.

4. D.A.N.C.E. - Justice
A tribute to Michael Jackson. Whatever.

5. God's Gonna Cut You Down - Johnny Cash
Count the number of famous personalities here. Timberlake should eb the easiest to identify.

A Whole New Blog

My interest in rock music has increased dramatically over the years, while that of hip-hop has gone in the opposite direction. However, here is one rather new hip-hop song that caught my attention. And being a GP student, I will need to analyze it more... analytically.

Essay Question: Has technology improved the quality of human life?

Field: Ayo Technology - 50 Cent feat. Justin Timberlake and Timbaland

Viewpoint: From a bunch of non-virgins, their stand is no.
"I'm tired of using technology"

Main Argument: Not thrilling enough. Refer to video to see their bored looks.

Alternative solutions suggested:
"Why don't you sit down on top of me?"
"I need you right in front of me"

Now, talk to the person next to you about the arguments put forth by these rappers.

On another note, happy birthday to Kek and Happy CNY to all.
